Primary Objective:
The primary goal of the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme, spearheaded by the Rajasthan government, is to digitally empower the womenfolk including mothers, sisters, and daughters of the state. The scheme aims to facilitate their access to various government-run programs and enable them to independently manage their financial affairs. Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a resident of Rajasthan to avail scheme benefits.
- Eligible participants include women and students residing in the state.
- Women heads of Chiranjeevi families are also eligible.
- Girls studying in classes 9th to 12th and those enrolled in colleges and higher education institutions qualify for the smartphone scheme.
- Additionally, widows/single women receiving pension and women heads of families fulfilling 100 days of work under MGNREGA will be considered for the scheme.
