Overview:
The Jharkhand State Government has introduced a new initiative called the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana to support women in the state. Launched recently by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, this scheme aims to provide financial assistance to women aged between 21 and 50 years. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive ₹1000 per month, totaling ₹12,000 annually.
Objectives:
The Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana is designed to address the basic financial needs of women from low-income backgrounds. The main objectives are:
- To provide monthly financial aid to improve the economic stability of women.
- To empower women by making them self-reliant and reducing dependency on others for their basic needs.
Benefits:
- Monthly Financial Support: Eligible women will receive ₹1000 directly into their bank accounts every month.

- Target Audience: Approximately 40 to 45 million women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds will benefit from this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
- Age: Women must be between 21 and 50 years old.
- Application Timeline: Applications must be submitted between August 3 and August 10 at designated camps.
- Ration Card: Applicants must hold a green, yellow, pink, or orange ration card.
- Exclusions: Women with family members holding government positions or taxpayers are ineligible
