About the Scholarship Program:
The Bharti Airtel Foundation has launched a new scholarship plan aimed at supporting talented students from various socio-economic backgrounds, particularly girls, to advance in the technology sector. This scheme is designed for students enrolled in undergraduate or 5-year integrated engineering programs at the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering institutions in India. Selected students will be honored as Bharti Scholars, symbolizing their merit and technical prowess.
Benefits of the Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program:
- Full Financial Support: Covers annual tuition fees, food, and accommodation for the entire duration of the course.
- Free Laptop: Each student will receive a laptop in the first year to assist with their studies.
- Accommodation Assistance: Students living in PG or external hostels will receive financial support as per their institution’s hostel or mess fees.
- Post-Graduation Encouragement: Scholars will be encouraged to voluntarily provide financial assistance to other students after graduation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be enrolled in the first year of an undergraduate or 5-year integrated course in one of the following fields: Electronics, Communication, Telecom, IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace, or Emerging Technologies (such as AI, IoT, AR/VR, Machine Learning, and Robotics).
- Must be studying at one of the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering universities/institutes as of 2023.
- Family annual income should be less than ₹8.5 lakhs.
- Students already receiving another scholarship are not eligible.
Important Notes:
- The scholarship does not cover refundable deposits or security deposits; students are responsible for these payments.
- It is crucial for students to understand what expenses are covered by the scholarship.
